This Advent, we’ll prepare to celebrate the coming of Christ through two expressions of creativity:

1. The Prologue to John’s Gospel
Perhaps the greatest poetic introduction to Jesus, John’s opening words reveal Him as “the Word made flesh” – God with us. These verses invite us to marvel at the mystery of Christ’s incarnation and reflect deeply on His eternal presence.

2. The Great O Antiphons
These ancient songs, traditionally sung in the days leading up to Christmas, meditate on the names and character of Jesus. Each ‘Antiphon’ calls us to consider who Christ is, and to long for His coming again.
