“Listening to Lectio 365 in hospital”

Last week’s Lectio 365 could not have been more fitting for my personal situation. And it really encouraged me and helped me through a personal crisis: He is the God who hears my prayers and the God who sees me.

Last week I had to undergo a neurosurgeon operation. A tumour the size of a small egg had been found in my brain. So the hardest crisis of my life hit me. I was full of fear that any kind of damage would be done to my brain and that would lose my skills as a wife, mother of 3 boys and a paediatrician. And I was also in fear of losing my life, writing goodbye letters to my family.
I was carried through by so many nice people, many people praying and certainly a very skilled neurosurgeon.

I was absolutely thrilled when I woke up after surgery, was able to speak and drink and swallow. And when I could listen to Lectio 365 on ICU and heard the worship song “El Roi” God really touched me deeply. Thank you so much. This is precious beyond words.
I am thankful for that, that everything turned out well, even the tumour was benign, that I am already back with my family and I am really excited about God in my life and about the ways he will guide me and the plans he has for my life.

Maria
